Water Lilies
Water lilies are probably the most popular and most common pond plant that people add to their ponds due to the many benefits they provide. Often times people plant lilies in their pond in order to add color and visual appeal. We carry one of the largest selections of lilies available anywhere including hardy lilies and tropical lilies. Our color selection is unmatched and quality unbeatable.
Lilies are also added to ponds to provide shade from the sun and to help control excess nutrients that fuel algae growth. A good rule of thumb is that between 40% and 60% of the ponds surface area should be shaded to help reduce algae. Lilies also provide protection for fish from predators.
All water lilies are shipped bare root via Fed Ex Ground direct from the farm. The plants are not harvested until they are ordered to ensure freshness and quality. All plant orders are shipped Monday-Wednesday. Orders placed on Wednesday or later will ship the following Monday. This is to ensure safe delivery and to avoid potential weekend hold over in shipping warehouses.
