RedWing (active ingredient diquat)is the broadest-spectrum aquatic herbicide available. Labeled for both aquatic and landscape weeds, it effectively delivers non-selective, post-emergence control of floating, submersed and shoreline aquatic weeds, plus many grassy and broadleaf weeds in nearby landscapes.

General Application

Apply RedWing as a single, post-emergent application, attaining thorough coverage of target plants for best results. To control surface and shoreline weeds such as duckweed,algae, cattails, and others, use 0.5 to 2 gallons RedWing per surface acre plus NIS (non-ionic surfactant) in 50-200 gallons per acre. For submerged weeds such as Hydrilla, watermilfoils, naiads and others, use 1 to 2 gallons of RedWing per surface acre applied either as an invert emulsion or delivered diluted to near the waters bottom, using weighted hoses. The addition of Current‚® herbicide will improve control of Hydrilla, algae and duckweed.
