Winterization

Build up of fish waste and other organic material such as leaves, twigs and pine needles can spell disaster for a pond over the winter months.  As this material slowly breaks down, it releases toxic gases and chemicals that if left to build up can be deadly to fish. Nets and heaters can be used to prevent debris from entering a pond while heaters are used to keep ponds from freezing over and allow gases to be expelled.
